Minutes of PTA (E.C.) meetings (2008-09 and onwards)

SESSION - 2008-09

A PTA Meeting was conducted on 08.07.08 for all classes about 60% parents responded. It has been observed that parents of low achievers responded in low percentage.

Another PTA meeting of board class students was conducted on 20.12.08 Response was found satisfactory.

Beside this parents of low achievers and short attendance cases were regularly called and counseling done in January - February.

A positive response from the parent side received.

SESSION - 2009-10

A PTA Meeting of all classes was conducted on 08.07.08. Parent response was satisfactory but parents of low achievers needed

to be visited. For Board classes PTA meeting was arranged on 15.12.09 for X and XII commerce & Humanities and on 17.12.09 for Science Stream.

Parents counseling and guidance was given to pay more attention to their wards.

Beside this low achievers and short attendance cases parents were contacted and briefed about the achievement of their wards.

A very positive response was received from parental side and wards started showing improvements.

SESSION - 2010-11

A Parents –Teachers meeting was held on 23-12-2010. The percentage of parents turned up was 89% . Following points were discussed in the meeting-

Mistakes committed by the children in the recently concluded half yearly examination were discussed and measures to check it were discussed.
Parents were asked to do the follow up and review and practice it home.
Parents were suggested to check the daily diary and go through the home assignment and class-work given to them.
Home –Assignment for the winter break and Project –assignment for the third unit Test was given by the teachers.
Teachers guided the students to do project work on computer with the help of Internet.
Children are motivated for extra –reading and practice to improve hand writing
Attendance of the children is checked and parents are advised to see that their wards are regular and punctual.
Proper-uniform and maintenance of note-book is area of concern , parents are advised to check it.
Those parents who could not turn up were followed up.
Thus the meeting concluded in a happy and fruitful way. Parents promised to done by the teachers.
