History

   kendriya Vidyalaya RDSO started as a project school in the year 1973 with make shift Class Rooms for the students in RDSO residential quarters. From this humble beginning it has grown up to be one of the largest kendriya Vidyalaya in the Lucknow region .

   Present building was inaugurated by Late Prof.Nurul Hassan the then Education Minister on 13th NOv.1976 and from the residential quarters the school shifted to te new building in the year 1976 , attaining new height of glory in both academic and co-curricular fields year after year.

   It is situated in the RDSO colony which is nearly 6 kms from the Charbagh Station. The Vidyalaya is run by the kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan New Delhi which is under the Ministry of Huma Resources. Kendriya Vidyalaya ,RDSO caters primarly to the educational needs of RDSO employees and Railway employees as it is a project school.
